Cerner Help Desk Supervisor

Job Description

Interim Cerner help desk supervisor needed for hospital in Western New York to manage hospital EHR help desk personnel and operations until permanent replacement is found. Prior experience as hospital help desk supervisor or manager required. Technical knowledge of Cerner EHR system desired. Immediate start. Weekly travel (M-Th).

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support as help desk operates between 6:30 a.m.-11:15 p.m. EST.
  • Assist with establishing service level agreements if applicable.
  • Ensure staff follow up on help desk requests, inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and recommendations to improve processes when possible.
  • Work with staff to develop useful dashboards and weekly/monthly reports to management if needed.
  • Participate in meetings within IT as needed to improve and integrate process and procedures.
  • Set performance expectations and coach employees to succeed through performance discussions.
  • Coordinate help desk personnel training for any new upgraded applications or delivery items that client is moving forward.
  • Produce personnel schedule and coordinate necessary logistics.
