Job Description

Interim Director of Clinical Applications needed to lead a team in training, implementing and supporting clinical information systems in ambulatory surgery center (ASC) and practice environments for a client in the Southeast. The director will manage projects and set priorities for the team whose focus is on initial training as part of system implementation and follow up training for new process and additional functionality. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be extremely customer-service oriented. Must enjoy learning new things and solving problems in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the clinical applications support team
  • Lead clinical steering committees to determine and prioritize system process changes and enhancements
  • Work with clinical services and regional vice presidents to determine optimal processes for clinical staff
  • Maintain and update training materials, as needed, to aid in the educational process
  • Act as the primary point of contact with key clinical systems vendors
  • Collect, organize and evaluate clinical, functional, and training metrics
  • Communicate effectively across the training team and with various stakeholders
  • Coordinate system upgrades and enhancements – testing, communications, etc.
  • Track, prioritize, document and resolve requests using the Support Desk ticket system
  • Perform on-site hardware, software and infrastructure assessments and support (approximately 25-50% travel)
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, foster respect for patient privacy, promote customer service and interact appropriately with others
  • Hold direct supervisory responsibility for up to ten staff to include intermediate manager(s)/supervisor(s)

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, information technology, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years in a clinical systems support (trainer, systems analyst) role
  • Systems and/or clinical experience in an ASC or practice environment preferred

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Ability to work in a self-directed work environment without constant supervision
  • Must understand the patient care processes in both procedure-based and physician practice environments

Job Description

Analyst needed to create an instruction set for clinicians to denote favorites in Allscripts Professional drug formulary and/or to create a custom report listing patients with specific disease and current medication(s). Instruction set will include step-by-step instructions to perform specified system function.

  • Excellent opportunity to moonlight for extra money just in time for the holidays
  • Analyst MUST have his or her own access to Allscripts Professional to produce requested deliverable
  • Short-term, temporary projects. Duration will be 3-4 weeks and total no more than 25-30 hours. Additional projects may follow

Desired Skills:

  • 1-3 years of experience with Allscripts Professional
  • Moderate level of experience in reporting
  • Ability to work independently and quickly turn around needed work

Now seeking an IT Service Desk Analyst with experience assisting end users with hardware issues, as well as Cerner Millennium application issues, for a full-time long-term remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, research and resolve technical problems
  • Answer and handle calls from end users
  • Document, track and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution
  • Provide daily Tier 1 support to end users on a variety of hardware and application issues, escalating to support teams as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting a hospital, health system or care network is required
  • Prior experience supporting Cerner Millennium is highly desired
  • Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills

Job Description

Epic Facilities Project Manager needed for 6-9 month contract in the Midwest.

Experience:

  • Must have experience in device integration and real-time location systems (RTLS)
  • Must have experience working in an Epic environment with an understanding of IT needs around the integration and implementation of Epic in a new clinic, preferably Epic Ambulatory or other clinical modules (Epic certification not necessary)

Desired Skills:

  • PMP certification
  • Experience with workflow mapping and developing net-new workflows based on newly implemented technologies
  • Experience with facility planning (floor plan review, device placements, inventory strategy, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical (Nurse, Pharmacist, Pharmacy Tech, Respiratory Therapist, Lab or Radiology Tech) or Financial/Patient Management background highly desired
  • If no direct clinical care background, multiple years of healthcare information systems experience
  • Experience implementing and supporting Epic products (2+ years highly desired)
  • Experience working with the specific application request (2+ years highly desired)
  • Epic certification in at least one product
  • Completion of at least one full implementation, including workflow analysis, build, training and support
  • Testing, optimization and upgrade experience highly desired
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Willingness to travel
