Onsite Incident & Problem Manager

Job Description

Onsite Incident & Problem Manager - Northeast

Reporting to a department manager/director, the Incident and Problem Manager will coordinate technology related major incidents and accurately document events from the onset of the major incident through the restoration of service.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring proper root cause analysis occurs after any and all major incidents.
  • Responsible for the oversight of root cause resolution implementation for all technology problems.
  • Create and maintain the incident and problem management practice. Communicating status to all stakeholders, including Executive Leadership.
  • Work alongside the Service Desk to respond to major incidents quickly and effectively.
  • Proactively identify and remediate major incident causes (major incident avoidance).
  • Perform priority incident impact assessments, assess active or potential business impacts, set appropriate priority and escalate when needed.
  • Assist with assembling incident resolution teams, drive incidents to closure, take charge of resolution activities.
  • Drive root cause analysis.
  • Provide timely, clear incident status communications to all IT and business leadership, resolution team members and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in Incident Management process improvements.
  • Document incident details for input into Problem Management's root cause analysis process, management reporting metrics and follow-up major incident reviews.
  • Utilizes ITIL knowledge to review incidents during audits to ensure the Incident Management process is being adhered to.
  • Drive problem analysis to the conclusion to determine root cause for any Severity 1 or High Impact incidents as well as for any recurring incidents.

Desired Skills: Minimum or Preferred Qualifications BA/BS in computer science or similar required. 5 years of experience in relevant IT incidents and technology in a large corporation.

Data Integration Consultant

Job Description

Data Integration Consultants needed for a full time, 2+ year engagement, requiring on-call and onsite rotation. Consultants will be required to spend one week onsite every 4-6 weeks, with the remainder of the work being remote.

Responsibilities

  • This position requires inclusion in a support rotation with other team members 24/7 and may require weekend or non-business hours work for maintenance activities
  • Manage allocation of work on support ticket, problem queues, change queues and work order queues

Cerner Help Desk Supervisor

Job Description

Interim Cerner help desk supervisor needed for hospital in Western New York to manage hospital EHR help desk personnel and operations until permanent replacement is found. Prior experience as hospital help desk supervisor or manager required. Technical knowledge of Cerner EHR system desired. Immediate start. Weekly travel (M-Th).

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support as help desk operates between 6:30 a.m.-11:15 p.m. EST.
  • Assist with establishing service level agreements if applicable.
  • Ensure staff follow up on help desk requests, inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and recommendations to improve processes when possible.
  • Work with staff to develop useful dashboards and weekly/monthly reports to management if needed.
  • Participate in meetings within IT as needed to improve and integrate process and procedures.
  • Set performance expectations and coach employees to succeed through performance discussions.
  • Coordinate help desk personnel training for any new upgraded applications or delivery items that client is moving forward.
  • Produce personnel schedule and coordinate necessary logistics.

Tier 1+ Service Desk Representative

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to work a rotating twelve hour shift, Sunday through Saturday, to include holidays
  • Working from standard protocols/documents, able to gather relevant information systematically to troubleshoot and resolve all routine problems and some moderately complex problems

Qualification

  • Technical proficiency PC applications, and skill related claims, policy administration systems, and/or web based applications.
