Stoltenberg Consultant Assumes Interim CIO Position at Naticoke Hospital


Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) September 27, 2007 – Stoltenberg Consulting, Inc., a leading healthcare industry information technology consulting firm, announced recently that Chris Adair, one of the company’s leading consultants, has assumed the position of interim CIO and IT Director at Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford, Delaware. Adair’s mission at Nanticoke is to optimize the capabilities and efficiencies of the hospital’s information systems which are primarily being provided by Cerner Corporation.

Adair has restructured the IT department and added some new, key members in order to provide ongoing maintenance and smooth change controls as needed IT modifications are made. Multiple major projects are under way to optimize system efficiencies and to make the IT systems’ workflow match the hospital’s workflow: OR scheduling and peri-op documentation improvements, overall optimization of nursing clinical documentation, major coding upgrades, and platform upgrades as the hospital considers moving to a hosted service.

“We are very pleased with the way the projects are going. Our hospital wanted a fresh, new perspective on how we could best optimize our IT resources and Stoltenberg is providing that service”, commented Vendla Esler, Vice President of Patient Care Services at Nanticoke Hospital.
